How CRT Teaches Your Child to Hate Their Identity in Christ

Critical Race Theory teaches your child their primary identity is their race—either victim or oppressor. Scripture teaches your child their primary identity is in Christ—redeemed and beloved. These two worldviews cannot coexist. One will dominate. And right now, CRT is winning in our schools, our culture, and even in some of our churches.

Let Me Tell You What's Happening in Your Child's Classroom

Your 7-year-old Black child is being told they are oppressed, victimized, and defined by their suffering. They're being taught to see themselves primarily through the lens of race—not as an image-bearer of God, not as a child of the King, but as a victim.

Your 7-year-old white child is being told they are an oppressor, complicit in systemic racism, and guilty for sins they didn't commit. They're being taught to see themselves through the lens of inherited guilt—not as redeemed by the blood of Jesus, but as permanently tainted.

This is Critical Race Theory. And it's not just "teaching history." It's indoctrinating your children with a worldview that fundamentally contradicts Scripture.

Here's What CRT Does to Your Child's Soul

Critical Race Theory isn't just a lens for analyzing society. It's a religion with its own doctrines, its own original sin, its own path to salvation. And it's teaching your children a gospel that contradicts the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

1. CRT Replaces "Image-Bearer of God" with "Oppressed" or "Oppressor"

The Bible says every human being is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). That's our foundational identity—we reflect the Creator. We have dignity, worth, and purpose not because of our race, but because God stamped His image on us.

CRT says your foundational identity is your position in power structures. You're either oppressed or oppressor. Victim or villain. And that identity is determined by your race, your gender, your sexuality—categories that Scripture says are secondary at best.

2. CRT Replaces "Sin and Redemption" with "Systemic Racism and Reparations"

The Gospel says we're all sinners in need of a Savior (Romans 3:23). Black, white, brown—doesn't matter. We've all fallen short of God's glory. And the only way to be made right with God is through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9).

CRT says the real problem isn't sin—it's systemic racism. And the solution isn't repentance and faith in Christ—it's dismantling power structures and redistributing resources. Salvation doesn't come through the cross; it comes through social justice activism.

Do you see the problem? CRT offers a false gospel. And when your child is taught this false gospel 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 12 years—what do you think happens to their faith?

3. CRT Replaces "Unity in Christ" with "Permanent Division by Race"

The beauty of the Gospel is that it brings people together across every human division. Jew and Gentile—enemies for centuries—become brothers in Christ. Slave and free—separated by brutal systems—worship side by side as equals before God.

CRT says that unity is impossible. The oppressor can never fully understand the oppressed. White people can never escape their complicity. Black people can never escape their victimhood. The division is permanent.

That's not just anti-Gospel—it's anti-hope. It tells your child they'll never be free from the categories CRT assigns them. But Jesus says, "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). Free from sin. Free from guilt. Free from victimhood. Free from identity based on anything other than Christ.

What You Must Do Right Now

This isn't a fight you can avoid. CRT is in your child's school right now. It's in their curriculum, their teacher training, their classroom discussions. So here's what you do:

Your Child's Identity Is at Stake

CRT wants to define your child by their race. God wants to define them by His grace. Only one of these identities leads to freedom, hope, and eternal life.

Fight for your child's soul. Teach them who they really are in Christ.
