Superintendent James D. Parker is the founder and Pastor of the Pillar and Ground of Truth Ministries Church of God in Christ Inc., for over 25 years, located in Zebulon, North Carolina. He is a first class husband, dedicated father, loving Pa-Pa, and a committed shepherd to the body of Christ. Superintendent Parker and his wife, Goldie, founded the Church of the Living God, Pillar and Ground of Truth Family Worship Center in 1995 with 11 members at his home in Raleigh, NC. The ministry grew within less than a year, and moved to Garner Road Family YMCA in Raleigh, NC. The Lord was moving mightily that in 1997, after two years, purchased and dedicated their new Church building in Bailey, NC. In 1998, Superintendent Parker became an ordained Elder in the C.O.G.I.C underneath the leadership of the now, Bishop Dr. Patrick L. Wooden Sr. In 2010 the ministry relocated to Zebulon, NC and is known today as Pillar and Ground of Truth Ministries C.O.G.I.C Inc. Serving as one of the senior Pastors in the Greater Central District over 20 years, He is now Superintendent of Greater Truth District under Bishop Patrick L. Wooden of NC3rd Jurisdiction. He also is NC3RD Vice-chairman of AIMs Department. CFADD Chapter Leader of North Carolina. Superintendent Parker an Army Veteran, also serviced for more than seven years as a Junior Varsity High School Football coach at James B. Hunt High. Driven by his passion for the youth, especially young men of color, he took the time to mentor them on and off the field to help guide them to success not only on the game field, but in their life as a whole, and also the life to come. Superintendent James D. Parker was, is and will continue to be a strong advocate for the truth and standard of God’s Holy Word. To all that know Superintendent Parker, know him as the “Truth Preacher”. Superintendent Parker is a true advocate for evangelism, which is evident in his ongoing teaching and Leadership Training classes and has birthed several ministries, evangelist, and ministries over the past several years. Above all, Superintendent James D. Parker is Saved, Sanctified, and filled with the Holy Spirit . He loves is wife, children, & grandchildren and loves fulfilling his purpose, which is to make a difference in the lives of God’s people by preaching and Gospel of Jesus Christ.
