Andrew Beckwith is the Chief of Staff and Executive Vice President at Southern Wesleyan University, joining the institution in July 2023. A seasoned leader with extensive experience in organizational management, advocacy, and Christian ministry, Beckwith previously served as President of Massachusetts Family Institute (MFI), where he oversaw a decade of transformative growth in staff, fundraising, and annual revenue.

A former U.S. Marine Corps officer, Beckwith served for over 20 years as trial counsel and judge advocate, attaining the rank of lieutenant colonel, and advising on high-profile legal matters both stateside and abroad. He also practiced immigration law with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Beckwith holds a B.A. in International Affairs and Foreign Languages from Gordon College and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. A recognized advocate for religious liberty and Christian education, he is a frequent speaker at conferences, churches, and academic seminars, and has appeared on numerous media outlets to promote biblical values.

He and his wife, Karen, have four children—Jacob, Gabriel, Abigail, and Anna—and are committed to living out their faith as a family within the SWU community.
