Mr. Thomas Woods was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to wonderful, God-fearing parents, Thomas and Barbara Woods Sr. He currently resides in South Carolina with his wife, Marcia, of 23 years. They have two children, one daughter (Mikayla) and one son (Jaden). He is the Founder of Just His LLC where he is Chief Technology Officer and he offers over 20+ years of IT Architecture and Application Development experience as a consultant for various corporations and organizations across North and South Carolina.
Mr. Woods attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science. He received the prestigious Jerry Richardson Scholarship which not only afforded him the opportunity to attend college tuition free but also opened doors for him to intern several weeks each summer with NASA, IBM and Verizon Wireless. He also served as President of the African American Association of Students for three years, three years as Co-Director of Transitions (a program to help minority freshman make the transition from high school to college), three years as a Student Liaison to the Board of Trustees, served as one of two students on the Presidential Search Committee, one of two students selected to be on the cover of Black Pages of Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was also named Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities, a three-year starter for Wofford Terrier Football, named twice as MVP for Wofford Terrier Track and Field and All Southern Conference for Track and Field. Mr. Woods also had the opportunity to co-authored and published a scientific paper on “Bridging the Gap Between Object Orientation and UML” while working for NASA.
Mr. Woods is an ordained Elder serving in many capacities in the Promised Land Christian Discipleship Center under the direction of Apostle Tommy E. Quick. He was awarded the Servant’s Heart award for the South Carolina District of Church of God in Christ in 2018 for his faithful service to his church and his pastor. He serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Promised Land Christian Discipleship Center as well as serves on the board of Legacy Christian School and Christian Families Against Destructive Decisions (CFADD). He has previously served as an advisor to Black Boys of Distinction and the Wofford Alumni Executive Committee. He states his proudest accomplishment is knowing his wife and kids are saved and they all participate with him in serving the God of the Bible and bringing the vision of the house to pass.
