First Lady Valerie Quick
The Promised Land
Valerie Horton Quick is born and raised in the small town of Plymouth, North Carolina, Valerie grew up surrounded by the love of her parents and four brothers, deeply rooted in strong family values. She committed her life to Christ at the age of thirteen, a decision that would shape the course of her life.
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University, Valerie settled in Eastern North Carolina. In 1985, she married Apostle Tommy E. Quick, the love of her life and God’s chosen partner for her. Their union has thrived for over thirty-nine years. Together, they made Rockingham, North Carolina, their home, where Valerie nurtured two stepchildren and raised three children of their own with love, faith, and fervent prayer.
In 1992, Valerie and her husband, sensing God’s call, relocated to Spartanburg, South Carolina, with their three young children to establish a ministry. The Promised Land Christian Discipleship Center, which they founded, has become a beacon of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Upstate of South Carolina, impacting countless lives.
Valerie is a proud mother of five, a loving mother-in-love to three, and a grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and great-grandmother to four. Her family, all guided by faith and integrity, are a testament to her dedication and example. She embraces her God-given roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, pastor’s wife, sister, aunt, and friend, looking to live a “God-first” life in every aspect.
In her career as a nurse, Valerie’s faith is evident, as she actively promotes health and wellness, touching lives through her profession. Now as an author, her Christian fiction series “The Blood Factor” reflects her deep faith and desire to uplift others. Through her stories, she explores the generational joys and trials of life, weaving in lessons of perseverance, love, and faith. Above all, her goal is for God to be glorified in her work and to strengthen readers’ faith while providing them with entertaining and inspiring narratives.
