Fresh Start Discipleship Center
Pastor Benjamin and First Lady Sheila Kimbrough are dedicated servants of the Lord, walking together in ministry and leadership with a steadfast commitment to advancing the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Benjamin Kimbrough accepted Christ in 1988, and after answering the call to teach and preach the gospel in 1995, he was ordained as an Elder in 2003. His professional journey includes 20 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1999, followed by years as a high school teacher and later a Senior Officer with the NC Department of Adult Corrections, where he served in Special Operations and on the State Honor Guard, rising to the rank of 1st Lieutenant before retiring again in 2024. In July 2024, Elder Kimbrough was installed as Senior Pastor of Fresh Start Discipleship Center in Aberdeen, NC.
First Lady Sheila Kimbrough has been serving in ministry since the age of thirteen, bringing a powerful prophetic voice and a heart for deliverance and healing. Her leadership has spanned roles such as National Evangelist, Youth President, Praise and Worship Leader, and Church Administrator. She currently leads the Women’s Department at Fresh Start Discipleship Center and oversees both the Leading Young Ladies N2 Truth Department and the Butterflies Becoming Little Girls Ministry, nurturing spiritual growth across generations. She is a published author of the book “The Normal Within”, with her next anticipated work titled “It Cost Me”.
Together, the Kimbrough’s faithfully serve at Fresh Start Discipleship Center, where Pastor Benjamin leads as Senior Pastor. Both are actively involved in the CFADD Movement (Christian Families Against Destructive Decisions) under the leadership of Apostle Tommy E. Quick, championing family restoration and Christian discipleship.
The Kimbrough’s have been richly blessed with six children, ten grandchildren, and one on the way. Their marriage and ministry exemplify unity, perseverance, and an unwavering devotion to their God-given purpose.
Their lives and service continue to impact lives both locally and beyond, as they faithfully carry the mantle of leadership and deliverance in this generation.
